Immersive Spatial Art / 2023

The work transforms the layered experience of a mountain into an environment visitors can enter. Light, silhouette and material create changing visual depth as the viewer moves through the space.
/ PROJECT INSIGHT
Blue Mountain does not depict one specific landscape. It translates the distance, layers and sensations of entering a mountain into a spatial composition built from contour, material and light.
Visitors gradually encounter changes in terrain through movement. Sightlines alternate between concealment, penetration and opening, turning viewing into an embodied experience shaped by time.
Immersive installations require holistic planning of entrances, paths, pause points, eye levels and safety clearances. The space is not a background; it is part of the artwork.
